At the age of five, Messi started playing for Grandoli, a local club coached by his father. In 1995, Messi switched to the Newell’s old boys in his home city Rosairo he became part of a local youth team that only lost one game in the next four years, and was locally known as the machines of “87” the year of their birth. “I think Messi’s childhood was pretty decent because he played football for most of the day and I personally would enjoy that life because I really like to play football and I believe that can improve my skills”-Abhinaav Halder
Messi’s first team was Grandoli, his dad coached Grandoil at that time, he was the striker and he was only five years old, which I think is pretty cool.
Now I have a quote from one of Messi’s teammate, Neymar Jr, he said, “Messi is one of the best players on our team, he is a really nice guy, he is kind, helpful and generous he is so generous he opened his own foundation to help disabled children.”-Neymar Jr
Messi’s debut for his country was when he was eighteen years old, the match turned out to be a nightmare for Messi because he got a red card for elbowing Hungarian defender Vilmos Vanczak.
Thiago Messi is his son, he was born on the 2nd of November 2012 he shares his birthday with Wayne Rooney’s son and Steven Gerrard’s daughter. Thiago was born exactly 869 days after Cristiano Ronaldo Jr- just like Messi was born 869 days after Cristiano Ronaldo senior.
Now I have a quote from Messi himself he said “There is nothing more satisfying than seeing a happy smiling child. I always help in ant way I can even if it is just signing an autograph. A child smile is worth more than all the money In the world.” –Lionel Messi
In conclusion, I chose Messi because he really inspired me to play football, and he probably inspired many other kids around the world.
